忙しい一日

今日は昨日と違って、忙しい一日でした。来季のスポンサーシップに関してランチミーティング。今回は始めて顔を出す企業だったので、今日はご挨拶程度。具体的な話にはまだなってませんが、色々と興味をもって頂いてるので、このままスポンサーシップを実行してもらえるプランを作らないとって感じです！

Unlike yesterday...it was a busy day today. I had a lunch meeting with another one of my prospect sponsor for next year and I think we had a pretty good meeting. Since it was my first visit/meeting, it was more about getting to know each other but I'm sure we can come up with a program that will benefit everybody and I really hope to be they can come on board and to be part of our program!!

夕方は色々とお家で仕事や書類の整理。なんだか忙しい一日です。これからジムに行ってトレーニングで帰ってきたら明日のラグーナの準備をしないと。昨日と違って天気が良かったのは唯一の救いかな・・・？！？

Came off and had to do a little bit of running around before I take off to Laguna tomorrow for the week end again. I finally have time to breath now but it looks like I better go to the gym!! Well...at least the weather is nice today!!

なんだかしっくりしない・・・一日

なんだか最近は天気も悪くぱっとしない日が続きます。朝起きて快晴じゃないとなんだかやる気がおきませんよね・・・。今日も窓を開けると曇り空でだる〜っと思いつつ気合いで起きて、ピットの散歩。そしてお昼過ぎにジムに行ってトレーニング。

Not really an exciting day for me... Woke up in the morning and didn't feel like getting out of the bed sine it was cloudy outside. However, I had to take Pit for a walk so I got up and went for a walk and to the gym.

気がつくと１０月ももう終わりですね・・・。今年もあと２ヶ月で終わっちゃうのは信じられませんね〜・・・！？！明日は営業活動のミーティングで明後日からLagunaと今週もまた忙しくなりそうです。

I can't believe it's already end of Oct and we have just 2months left for this year. Time really flies!! Well...I have a meeting tomorrow and need to get ready to go to Laguna on Weds...better get ready for another busy week!!

子供の脳

今日は日曜日だったので家でユックリして子供と遊んでました。気がつけばなんだか子供もあっと言う間に大きくなって、オモチャなど大人が気がつかない遊び方やボタン等を発見したりして、やっぱり子供の脳は柔らかいな〜と思う今日この頃です。

Since it was Sunday...I spent majority of the day play with my kid. I'm amazed by his growth on last two weeks. He is defiantly heavier and taller...but what impresses me the most is his ability to think when playing with toys. He was able to discover the way to play and new buttons to push which I had no idea about it!?! The brain absorb so much more when your young...where I am getting to the stage now where I forget more things than to remember new things!?!

お昼前からはNASCARのレースを見てさっき終わった所です。NASCARも残り３戦・・・。シーズンが終わったら毎週末テレビがつまらなくなるな〜・・・。

I just got finished watching the NASCAR race. 3 more race to go and would be interesting to see who comes out on top...It seems obvious that it will go to either the Hendrick duo. I am definitely not looking forward to the season end since than I will not have anything good to watch during the week end.

マッタリDay

今日はなんだか変な一日です。山火事のせいか、天気はずっと曇り空。LAっぽくない空でなんだかすっきりしません・・・。土曜日なので今日はユックリって感じです。日本はもう寒くなってるのかな〜？！？最近は忙しくて、なかなか日本に帰るプランがたてられないな。日本に帰る前に来季のプランの話も進めないといけないし。頑張らないとな〜〜！！

It was a weird day today. It was overcast through out the day and some rain...very unlike LA. I'm not sure if the wild fire has caused this funky weather but I really hope it clears before next week. Nothing exciting today other than trying to plan things for next two weeks. I really wanted to go back to Japan for couple of weeks during Oct but I'm not even sure if I can go back there during Nov. I figured I better get thing sorted out for next season before I plan my trip!!

もう週末

今日は午前中にジムでトレーニング。お昼は家で色々と先月の仕事の請求書などを作って、夕方はスーパーに行って食材の買い物。あっと言う間に一日が終わってしまいました。山火事もだいぶ落ち着いてきたみたいですが、かなりの家が焼けたみたいでとくにサンディエゴの方は大変そうです・・・。

Went to the gym in the morning and came home before lunch and had to make several invoices for the work I did last month. I must say that I miss racing since you really don't have to make any invoices in order to receive you pay check...well I guess this is real life!?!

気がついたらあっと言う間の週末です。来週はハロウィーンですね。残念ながら自分はまたラグーナで仕事なので子供の仮装パーティーの姿が見えないのは残念・・・！？！

I can't believe it's already Fri today! My apartment just had an Halloween party last night which we missed and I will be back up at Laguna again next week so I will not be able to put on any costume this year...and even worse I am gutted about not being able to see my baby at the costume party...

お仕事終了

今日は８時からサーキットでお仕事。今回もまたLexusのIS-Fの試乗会。いや〜しかしIS-Fは何度乗っても面白い車だな〜と思います。遊べるラグジュアリー車・・・って感じです。

Went to work at 8am today for another media preview for the new Lexus IS-F. The car is real fun to drive especially on race track and I wish if I can own for for my personal use. It is a fun luxurious car to drive!!

仕事は４時まで続き終わってからはダッシュで帰宅。とは言っても５時間のドライブですが・・・。２日間で計１０時間も運転してると思うとなんだかぞっとしますね。しかも、来週末もまたラグーナだし！？！仕事の合間を縫って来季の話をしたりでドタバタです。

I was done with work at 4pm and flew home....well not quite...I drove home(5hr). I can't believe I drove 10hrs during last two days and am going back to Laguna next week end again.I wish if I had my own private plane to get to places...one of these days for sure!! That means...I better get omy deals moving forward for next season!!

ラグーナに到着

今日は朝早めに起きて、１０時までは家出お仕事。明日からはラグーナで仕事があるので、１０時半に家を出発して先ほどホテルに到着。今日は道も混む事もなくスムーズに到着。今回はお仕事が１日だけなので明日またロングドライブと考えると少し恐ろしい・・・。

Since I was leaving to Monterey today to work for Skip Barber tomorrow...I woke up early and got some work done. I left the house at 10:30am to avoid traffic and was able to get to the hotel smoothly. It's great to be here...but I can't believe that I will have to go home again tomorrow after just one day of work.

しかし、今日も異常気象な勢いで暑いです。モントレーもこの時期にしたら暑いし・・・。なんだか大きな自信がくるのか妙な感じがします。

It was another hot day in LA. It's even hot here in Monterey which is very unusual this time of the year... This strange weather almost makes it feel like if something big is coming...like earthquake. Having said that I guess we got the wild fire going on now and we really don't need any other disaster!!

夏・・・・？！？

今日は午前中にジムでトレーニング。ジムに行ってもず〜っとテレビのニュースでは山火事の事について報道。半端じゃないほどの範囲が燃えてて、しかもLAも温度は真夏日和！？！空は煙のせいかもの凄く濁ってて変な一日でした。

Went to the gym in the morning and watched the news about the fire since that was pretty much on all I can watch on TV. Obviously the fire is getting intense and it has damaged more homes and burned more areas than many of us thought. I really feel bad for those people who lost their homes, and really hope the government will step up to help those people for speedy recovery. I am not sure if it's hot because of the fire...but it really was a hot day here in LA!!

お昼は息子がミュージッククラスに行って、自分は家でお仕事。夕方に妻の永住権申請の書類等の準備をしたりドタバタ・・・・。明日からはラグーナに行くので今日は大忙しでした。

It was a busy day for me doing a lot of work at home and taking my son to the class as well as getting all the paper work ready for my wife's green card application which should almost done. Well, I am off to Laguna tomorrow and I hope the weather is much nicer out there.

ミーティング

今日はお昼に先日のインディアナポリスのミーティングから次へ物事を進める為に、お昼に現地のスポンサー活動を手伝ってくれているスタッフとミーティング。この間の話し合った内容からさらに企画書を煮詰めて２週間後に新たにプレゼンって感じです。いや〜この時期は本当に忙しいです。が、予算を決める時期なのでなるべく早く、しかも確実に話を進めていかないと！！

Had a lunch meeting in regards to our follow up plans for the meetings we had in Indianapolis. Obviously it's budgeting time for most of the company and we certainly need to make sure we have the plan that fits there needs as well as making sure that it is an attractive deal for them. We are hoping to have another meeting in two weeks and being ready and prepared is the most important thing when you are trying to hunt for some money!!

そうそう、今日は久しぶりに洗車してきました。車がかなり汚れてきたのでセルフ洗車に行ってしっかり磨いてあげました！！水曜からはまたラグーナで忙しいし、時間がある時にやっておかないと・・・って思って。しかし、今週もラグーナ、来週末もラグーナで忙しくなりそうです。

I was also able to finally wash my car today. It was getting really dirty, and was about time to be washed. Fortunately, no body wrote "Wash ME" on my windshield but it was a matter of time. I like going to the self washing facility because you can make sure it will be spotless for $5. Well...I am off to Laguna again this Weds and would probably need another car wash by the time I get back!!

山火事

今日は朝起きてからかなりテレビではほぼ一日中マリブ近辺での山火事のニュース。かなりの面積が火事で燃えてしまい、アメリカではビッグニュースです。先週は涼しくなった物の、この時期はサンタナウィンドと言う陸の方から吹く乾いた風で気温も上昇して火事がおきやすいみたいです。ん〜マリブは豪邸もたくさんあって住みたいなと思う物の、雨が降ると地滑りで乾燥すると山火事でって感じでやっぱりダウンタウンが一番あんぜんなのかな？！？

Got up in the morning and flipped on the TV to watch the F1 race. Kimi ended up dominating the race and I am happy to see him win the Championship. Other than that, the fire in Malibu area was the headline all day on TV. I assuming it was partly caused by the Santa Ana wind coming from the hills. I always thought Malibu was great place to live with all the nice houses but with the land slide when it rains, and the fire in the dry season...I'm thinking Downtown may be the safest place to live now days!?!

ヘアーカット

今日は朝起きて一番にヘアーカットの予約。髪が伸びてきてかなりイライラしてきたので、バッサリ切ってきました。帰る途中に犬や猫の餌をゲットして、スーパーによって夕飯の食材を買ってきたく。夕方にはばっちりジムでトレーニングして体調もベリーグッド！！

As expected, I got out of my bed this morning and the first thing I did was to book an appointment to cut my hair. I was really getting frustrated about my lengthy hair that was just going out of control and I finally managed to get them trimmed out to my usual length. On my way home, I had to stop by the pet shop to gram some dog & cat food and came home and went straight to the gym for a work out.

明日はF1の最終戦ですね〜！朝から起きてレースを見ないと！！マクラーレンとフェラーリのどちらが勝つのが見物です！！Lewisが勝ったらイギリスはすごい事になりそうですね〜。カート時代から両選手のレース内容を見た事がありますが、Lewisは安定していた尚かつスピーディー、Fernandoは勝つか負けるかの走りをするタイプなのでどちらが勝つか本当に楽しみ！！

Tomorrow will be the final race of the season for the Formula 1 GP. I will need to get up and spend the whole morning in front of the TV flipping through F1 and NASCAR at Martinsville. It really would be interesting to see who comes out on top at the end. It was a great battle all season against McLaren and Ferrari as well as Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. I have watched both of those guys race from Karting days and Lewis is more of a calm and fast driver where Fernando is all or nothing, win or lose driver. It's hard to decide who to cheer for but I'm sure it will be one heck of a race!!

お家に戻ってきました。

今日は朝一のフライトで無事に家に帰宅。飛行場では偶然スポンサーイベントでラスベガスに向かう、サラ・フィッシャーと遭遇。朝食を食べながら数分のあいだ世間話。サラも来季に向けて交渉でドタバタしてるみたいです。

Took the first flight from IN back to LA. I bumped in to Sarah Fisher who was on her way to Las Vegas to do a sponsor appearance. We chatted for few minutes about future prospects and she too sounded busy trying to put the deals together for next season.

家に帰ってきてからは、今週あったミーティングの復習。それから次へ向けてのプランニング。今回は色々とミーティングができたので宿題が増えて大忙し。とにかく全力で頑張り続けないと！！夕方はジムでがっつりランニング。やっぱり運動するとスッキリしますね〜〜！！

Got home by 10am and reviewed through all the meetings to follow up in the near future. We had great meetings which lead us to be doing a lot of home work before the next meeting but I really appreciate my support team who are working together on trying to put this deal together. I went to the gym just before dinner and worked out for about an hour. I really was getting frustrated with not having time to cut my hair and go to the gym so going to trim my hair to be on the priority on my "to do list"!

インディアナポリス最終日

今日はもの凄い忙しい一日でした！ミーティングが４個あり、かなりドタバタ。なんとか全てのミーティングもうまく行き話もようやく動き始めてる気がするので、今回はインディアナポリスにきて本当に良かったと思います。ま〜ずっと言ってる様にようやく可能性が見え始めてレベルなので具体化するまではまだまだこれからですが・・・、頑張り続けないと。

It was a real busy day today with numerous meetings. I think they all were successful meetings and although we are just getting our foot in the door with our sponsor prospects...I feel real good about being able to provide them with great program. Mainly for me, I am really looking forward to being back in the car!!

明日は朝一のフライトでLAに帰宅。ん〜久しぶりに子供に会うのが楽しみだ！！

Well, I finally get to go home tomorrow night. I am looking forward to seeing my boy because he is definitely growing rapidly and he is learning a new thing every day!!

ミーティング初日

今日は午前中はホテルのレストランでミーティングについての打ち合わせ。お昼にインディアナポリスの北にある街のレストランで、スポンサー候補の会社とランチミーティング。ミーティングはそこそこうまくいき、来季に向けてようやく歩き始めてかなって感じです。まだまだ最初のステップを踏み始めただけなので、どうなるかわかりませんがチャレンジし続けるしかないですもんね！！

I had a breakfast at the hotel and had a brief meeting before we met with our prospect sponsors for lunch. We met at this place in North side of Indianapolis and I was surprised with how new and clean that community was. The lunch meeting went pretty well and we were able to introduce each other and we finally were able to get the first step away. However, we still have a lot of work to do in order to make the deal happen and we need to make sure that we can tailor a program that will fit everyone's need especially when we are dealing big money from sponsors.

夕方は今年インディー５００に参戦したDreyer&Reinboldチームに顔をだしました。来季に向けての準備やスタッフのリクルートなどかなりドタバタしてましたが、色んな噂話をして帰ってきました。いや〜しかし、久しぶりにレーシングカーを見ると乗りたくなっちゃいますね！！身体がムズムズしてきたのでホテルで筋トレですね！！

After the meeting, I stopped by the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing shop who I raced for at this year's Indy 500. They are remodeling the office and trying to work on the plan for next season and looked really busy. I think they are definitely headed to the right direction and will come back next year even stronger. I talked with my engineer from this year and we chatted about several gossips about next year. It's that time for silly season again...!?!

インディアナポリスに到着

今日は６時に起きて９時半のフライトでインディアナポリスに向けて出発。幸い今回はノースウェストのフライトで直行便だったので楽々。夕方に着いて、夕飯は今年のインディー５００のスポンサーをしてくれたDerekと夕食。ちなみに、明日ミーティングがあるスポンサー候補の企業についてのミーティング。

Just got to Indianapolis. I was able to get a direct flight this time with Northwest so it wasn’t too much of an hassle getting here. After all the prospects meetings that I may have in the future…I may have to start racking up frequent flier miles with Northwest!?! I had dinner with Derek Wellman from Wellman Custom Homes who was our primary sponsor for this year’s Indy 500 and we have talked about the possibilities for next year. We also have several meetings with possible sponsors for next season so we are all excited about the plans for next year although nothing is set yet…

さっきようやくホテルに戻ってきて一息。明日はお昼からのミーティングですが、なるべく早く起きて頭の回転を良くさせておかないと。お昼からといってもLA時間だと朝一ですからね。それでは、早く来年の話を具体化させれる様に頑張ります！！

I just got back to the hotel and trying to get some rest before tomorrows meeting. Although it will be a lunch meeting, it will be an early meeting morning LA time zone(9am) so I should get up early and make sure that my brain is functional! I really hope to get thing materialized in the near future so I can just focus on driving a race car!!

ピットのウォッシング

今日は朝からジムでトレーニング。なんだか、最近は追い込みトレーニングをあまりしてないので、来季に向けてそろそろ気合いの入ったトレーニングをしないと・・・。お昼からは明日からインディアナポリスに行くプラニング。夕方はピットがあまりにも臭くなってきたので、洗うしかないと思って自分で洗っちゃいました。久しぶりに洗ってピットも大喜び。それ以上に喜んでいるのはお風呂好きな息子・・・。ピットと一緒にお風呂に入ろうとしてて困っちゃいました！？！（笑）

Went to the gym in the morning and had a pretty good work out. The training program has not been intense enough last couple of weeks and I definately need to get back to my daily training regmie when I get back from IN. After the trainig, I had to do some running around picking up stuff before my trip to IN and just got home. Than I realized that I needed to wash Pit(Chihuahua) who started to actually smell like a dog recently... I haven't bathed him for a while and it was just about time. Obviously Pit doesn't enjoy bathing as much as my son and my son was trying to jump in to the bath tub while I was washing Pit!?! Well.... I need to make sure the bath tub is cleaned up now before I bath my baby... Busy day trying to be a father!?!

今日はユックリ

今日は日曜日で外は秋晴れ！なんだか冬に近づいてきたな〜って感じがする肌寒い一日でした。けっきょく今日はお家でリラックス。来週はインディアナポリスに行かなくてはいけないので、今日は家でユックリしてました。いや〜しかし、秋になると色々と美味しい物があるので、ご飯を食べるのが楽しみになってきますね！！久しく松茸も食べてないから食べたいな〜〜・・・，と思う今日この頃でした。

It was a nice day today. I stayed home all day and played with my kid since I will be away pretty much all next week. It was a sunny day but I can feel that winter is just around the corner. The fall season is great with gourmet foods especially in Japan. I hope to have a chance to go back to Japan in next couple of weeks since it's prime time to eat Matsutake mushroom which is very expensive mushrooms...kind of like truffle I guess!?!

誕生日パーティーパート２

今日は一日中お家でお仕事。先日乗ったInfiniti EX35の車の記事を書かなくてはいけなかったり、他にも仕事が盛りだくさんあったのでかなりドタバタ・・・。なんだか忙しい一日でしたが、デスクワークばかりでなんかストレスが溜まりますね。ストレスと言えばさらに頭に白髪を発見・・・！？！歳を取ってる事ですね。（泣）

Busy day at home working in front of the PC. I had to finish up the article about the car I test drove about a month ago and had several other stuff that I needed to get done. After couple of hours...I realized that I am not suited for desk work and need to get back in to racing seat where I really belong!?! Talking about stress from work...I just found couple of more grey hairs...tough to stay young!?!

今夜はカメラマンの斎藤ヒロ君や友人のカズさんとお食事会。かるく誕生パーティーパート２って感じです！？！いや〜しかし昔のようにどんちゃん騒ぎをしなくなったのは本当に大人になった感じですね！？！これからご飯に行きますが、LAも最近は寒くなってきてお鍋の季節がやってきました！！お鍋と言えば今やたら紅月のシャブスキ鍋が食べたい〜〜！！早く日本に帰るのが楽しみです！！

I will be going to dinner tonight with my buddy Hiro and Kaz. I guess it will be my B-Day party part 3...!?! However, I won't be partying as hard as I used to since I have matured a bit now. We will　be going to the restaurant in Torrance. Speaking of food, since it started to get cooler here in LA, ShabuX2 season has begun. I really like the "Shabusuki" at Kougetsu, one of my favorite restaurants in Tokyo, and I can't wait to go back there and to get some great food!!

来週はインディー

昨日と一昨日は自分と妻の誕生日が続いて、今日はようやく現実に戻る日・・・。さっそく来季に向けての交渉を再開。昨日は朝一でインディーにある企業とデンワでコンフェランスコール。来週は現場でミーティングをする事になったので、来週は２泊３日でインディーに行ってきます。現場で色々と状況も把握してこないと。それと同時に、２週間前に試乗した車の記事も書かなくてはいけないし・・・。ん〜かなり忙しい週末になりそう。

After two consecutive B-Day parties with me and my wife, back to real life today but just being a year older. Now I have turned 30...I really need to act mature!?! Well, I had a conference call last night with IN based company and we will have a face to face meeting next week. Things are finally moving forward and I really have to thank all my team of guys who always helps me put the deals together. I will have to get all the travel details before this week end and at the same time, will have to get all the articles done for the cars that I have driven couple of weeks ago. Looks like it will be a busy week end for me...

今日は妻の誕生日・・・。

昨日は自分の誕生日を祝い、今日は妻の誕生日です・・・。そうです、僕ら夫婦の誕生日は実は１日違い！？！よく考えるとこの１日違いの誕生日が二人を仲良くさせるきっかけだったのですが。実は誕生日が近いから一緒に祝っちゃおうってノリで仲良くなったのです。最初は良かったのですが、実に結婚してみるとあまりにも誕生日が近すぎて自分のお祝いをしてもらってすぐ直後に妻のお祝いなのでなんとも微妙。が、一緒にいっぺんにお祝いできるから楽ではあります。

It was my B-Day yesterday and today is my wife's B-Day... Yes our B-Day is back to back and that is reason why became friends in first place. We celebrated our birthday together couple of years ago and now we are hear married with children!?! It was all good when we were just going out since we can just party together...but now with a kid, we have matured and had a private and relaxing back to back B-Day parties.

自分の誕生日には妻が食事に連れてってくれて、手作りケーキも作ってもらい“ハッピーバースデイ”。今日は自分が何時もお礼にスパゲッティー・ボロネーゼを作ってあげて質素にお祝い・・・！？！久しぶりに手料理なので気合いを入れて作らないと！！

My wife took me out to dinner last night and made a cake for me and in return, I am making her some pasta tonight and I hope she will enjoy since I haven't cooked for sometimes...

今日は自分の誕生日。ついに３０になってしまいました・・・。って言っても全く実感はありませんが。昨日の夜中から多くの友達や、ファンの皆さんから誕生日メールが届いて、本当に嬉しいです！！ありがとうございます！！皆からもパワーももらいこれからジムでトレーニングです！！ではでは、引き続き頑張り続けます！！

It's my 30th B-Day today. I still can't believe I'm 30...!?! I started to recieve a lot of e-mails from friends and fans since last night and pretty much through out the day today and I really appreciate it!! After beeing gutted to become 30yrs old, all the e-mails have cheered me up and I am just about on the way to the gym for some work out!! Thanks again for all the message and your support and will keep working hard at getting the deals for next season!!

３０前の最後の晩餐・・・。

今日はお昼から息子もミュージッククラス。妻と子供が授業を受けている間に、自分はTargetとスーパーに行って食材や日用品をゲット。２時間後のクラスも終了して、かなり楽しかったみたいで家に戻ったら子供は爆睡。自分はそのすきにジムに行ってトレーニング。久しぶりにしっかりとランニングもできて気分爽快！！

My son had a musical class today so I took my wife and kid to the class and went to Target and the grocery store while they were in class. I guess my son had a lot of fun and when he got home, he had a lengthy nap. While my son was sleeping, I went to the gym to get some work out done and it felt great to be back in the gym since I haven't worked out for a week.

さて、いよいよ今日は３０前の最後の夜です。ん〜なんだか自分の気分はまだ２１歳・・・。って言ってる場合ではないですね〜！？！（笑）もう脂ものる時期・・・、色んな意味で・・・。体脂肪の方じゃなくて、しっかり仕事の方でも成功できる様に頑張らないと！！

Well...today will be the last night before turning 30. I still feel like I'm 21...and I sure do look like it!?! I am so not looking forward to join the 30's club... although Asian always looks younger than his age and ofcourse I will look 30 when I turn 50!?!

ノリック

今日は朝起きてから残念なニュースを知りました。２輪のライダーでも誰もが知りノリックが事故死。しかも、公道で・・・。ノリック選手とは以前所属していたDesporterと言うスポーツ選手のNPO団体の忘年会でで会ってから、２輪選手の集まりでも何度か遭遇した事があったので、今回のニュースをしってとても悲しい気持ちです。事故の原因はどうやら、トラックがUターン禁止の所でUターンをして衝突。サーキットではなくて、公道での事故死と聞くと悔やむにも悔やみきれないです・・・。今まで多くのレースファンを盛り上げてきてくれたノリック選手へのご冥福をお祈りしたいと思います。

Woke up in the morning and went online to find a sad news. One of the best motorcycle rider from Japan, Norick Abe was killed last night in an accident on streets. I was able to meet Norick couple of times through gathering and he was a great guy. We had drinks together couple of times...and I am really sad to hear the story today. Apparently, a truck made an U-Turn where he was not suppposed to and got in to a collision. As a racer....that really gets me upset....there are so many regrets when killed on street and not on track. My deepest sympathy goes to Norick's family and I am sure he will rest in peace after giving many exciting races for me and all of the fans to see.

ようやく帰宅

さっきやっと家に戻ってきました。今日はスクール最終日。朝６時に起きて７時にサーキット入り。午前中の走行が終わって、最終日の午後はローリングスタートの練習をしてから、２０分のセッションが２回行われます。今回は始めて、クラスルームでのレクチャーを頼まれて生徒にスタート時のテクニックや気をつけなくては行けない事、さらにルールなどを厳しくレクチャー。今日のスクールも無事に終わり、ダッシュで帰宅。４時間半の運転はさすがに仕事後にするのは辛いです・・・。

Just got back from Laguna. It was the last day of Racing School and as usual,woke up at 6am and got to the track by 7am. I actually started to lecture the students in the class room today in regards to the race start procedure. It was my first time lecturing in the class room and I was some what nervous...but it was peace a cake!?! The practice start went really well and we were done with school by 4pm. RIght after I got done working...I rushed back home and it still was 4.5hr drive...feels pretty long after working through out the day.

家に着いたらやっぱり息子は既に爆睡・・・。でも、寝顔を見てなんだかほっとします。いや〜しかし、冷静に考えたらな〜んと・・・、あと３日で自分の誕生日！！が・・・、今年で３０！？！ついに三十路ゾーンです・・・。（泣）

When I got home, my son was already at sleep but it feels good to be home with your family. I was just looking at my schedule and I can't believe that my birthday is coming up this week! Even worse...I will be turning 30 this Weds...that's really bad news!?!

スクール２日目終了

今日はスクールの２日目が終了。昨日よりも暖かくて気候が良かったのでボチボチデした。が、生徒はハプニング続出。スピンをした後に逆走したり、あり得ない事件が何回か起きてインストラクターが揃って驚き・・・。こういう場合はどうしたら良いのかわからなくなっちゃうので本当に困ります！？！（笑）とりあえず、けが人は出ずに無事に終わったので何より。

Just got done with 2nd day of the Racing School. The weather was much nicer today and it was not a bad day at work. Except, the students were going wild today spinning out and running wrong direction on track... That really scares the instructors because that may create a huge head on crash with other cars. Anyhow, no body was hurt and the day ended safely. I'm still tired from the day though...

ホテルに戻ってきてシャワーを浴びた所です。いや〜しかしなんだか今日は疲れた。明日の夜には家に戻れるので楽しみ。残り１日だ〜・・・。そう言えばNASCAR　NEXTEL Cupの予選はトヨタがポールを取り、しかも上位を独占してるみたいです。Talladegaの予選で前に来ると言う事はエンジンのパワーはかなりでてるって事ですね。しかもJacques Villenueveが予選６位。明日の決勝が楽しみだ！！

Just got back to the hotel and took a shower getting ready to eat dinner. I can't wait to go home tomorrow and see my little boy. Speaking of racing, I am really impressed from the NEXTEL Cup qualifying resutls. Toyota looks really strong and they must be making good power in order to qualify up front at Talladega. Jacques Villenueve also qualified well in the Toyota and it will be interesting to see how the race goes on tomorrow!!

Lagunaは寒ッ！

今朝も６時起き。スタブによってコーヒーを買って、サーキットに着いたら寒さに驚き！短パンできたのは失敗だった・・・。が、気合いで仕事をしました。今日は３Dayスクールの初日。生徒も１８人の大きめのクラスですが、無事にスクールも終了。

As usual during the school days...got up at 6am and stopped by Starbucks to get a cup of coffee and arrived at the track by 7am. I was suprised by how cool it was out here today. It was a chilly day and not so great working out on the track since it was also windy. The class was reasonably sized(18 Students) and it was a good day.

今週末はAtlantaでプチ・ルマン、TalladegaではNASCARのレースが行われます。どっちも気になるな〜、レースをテレビでライブで見れないのが残念・・・。実はIndyが終わってから、このTalladegaのレースは出たいな〜って思ってたのですが参戦は断念・・・。残念ですが来季に向けて頑張らないと！！しかし、今週末おこなわれる、NASCARの下のクラスのARCAシリーズではToroRossoを放れたScott Speed、そしてダリオのデビューレースです。二人にはぜひ頑張ってもらいたいです！！

Speaking of racing, I can't believe missing the Petit Le Mans at Atlanta, as well as the NASCAR and ARCA race at Talladega on TV. To tell you the truth, I was thinking to do the Talladega race soon after Indy but was not able to materialize any sponsorship deals which would enable me to do. It would have been a good place to get the stock car career started especially after Scott Speed and Dario's debut this week end in the ARCA series. I really hope that both drivers do well and I will have to keep working hard at being able to get a ride!!

スクール初日

今日はスクール初日で１日だけのプログラムでした。午前中はコースをグルグル回り、午後は駐車場を使って、オートクロスをしたり、ブレーキングの練習＆スキッドパッドでドリフトの練習。最悪な事にドリフトの講師担当になり、色んな生徒の隣に座って教えなくてはいけません・・・。もちろん上手い人と下手な人はいますが、１時間半くらい乱暴な運転を耐えなくてはいけないので、途中からメチャ気持ち悪くなります。いや〜昨日はお酒を呑まなくて良かった〜って感じです。スクールも無事に終わり、今はホテルに戻った所です。明日からは３日間のスクールです。早起きが続くので今夜も早目に寝ないと！！

I had to work for a 1day corp Racing Shool Program today. We started the day by driving around on course in the AM and did Skip Pad, Autocross, and Braking Exercise in the afternoon in the paddock area. Unfortunately I was assigned to do the skid pad making the drivers go sideways. Skid pad is worse part of the job because you are stuck in the car for 1.5hr going sideways....good thing I didn't drink at all yesterday otherwise I would be sick through out the session. I was still feeling sick after couple of runs though... Anyhow, just got back to the hotel and chilling. I will have 3 more days here before I head back home..

ラグーナに戻ってきました

今日は朝起きてから午前中はジムでトレーニング。お昼にカレーうどんを食べて、３時前にラグーナに向けて家を出発。今日はそんなに渋滞がなかったので４時間半でホテルに到着。先週もきてたのに、またラグーナか・・・って感じですね！？！ん〜でも、お仕事なんで仕方ないですね。

Went to the gym in the morning and had a great work out before leaving to Monterey. I had lunch at home and left the house about 3pm. Luckily, I didn't have any traffic and was at the hotel in 4.5hrs. I was just here last week...and being in Monterey/Carmel is getting old...but I guess i've gotta work. I wish if I was here for leisure...

それより、今日のビッグニュースはダリオがNASCARへの参戦発表！以前から噂はされてましたが、いざ発表されるとダリオがNASCARを走ってるのはイメージしずらいですね・・・。いや〜しかし、恐るべしNASCAR！Juan Pablo、ビルニューブ、そしてダリオまで転向ってなったら自分も頑張って時代についていかないと！！

The biggest news of the day was Dario's announcement to joing Ganassi to race in NASCAR. No suprise there since the rumours were going around for couple of weeks...but it's hard to imagine him driving a stock cars. However, with Juan Pablo, Jacques Villenueve and now Dario making a move...I better get things moving because NASCAR is the place to be now!!

Infant/Toddler Class

今日はお昼から子供の幼稚園まではいきませんが、ローカルの学校でやってる赤ちゃんクラスがあったので、妻と息子を学校にドロップ。他の子供達と一緒に遊んで楽しかったみたいです。疲れたのか家に戻ってきてからはずっと爆睡。ん〜やっぱりいろんな赤ちゃんとふれあったり遊んだり友達を作るのは良い事ですね。自分は子供がクラスを受けている間は来季のスポンサー活動の為のミーティング。色々としなくては行けない事がたくさんあって少し忙しいです・・・。明日からはラグーナ。なんだかロングドライブが苦痛だな〜・・・。

My wife wanted to enroll our kid into a Infant/Toddler school to make friends so we decided to give this class a try today. The school was in Torrance and I guess my boy had a good time there since he was knocked out through when he got home. I guess it's better for the kid to have him play around with others and make friends. As for me...while my kid was in class, I went to have a lunch meeting to discuss about the updates and prospects for next year. Gotta keep working...while so my kid can play!?! Anyhow, I'm off to Laguna tomorrow...I am so not looking forward for the long drive.

今週末もラグーナ

今日は朝起きて午前中に色々と、来季の話について連絡の取り合い。スポンサー活動も１歩進んで２歩下がるって感じの繰り返しですが、一生懸命やって前進あるのみですね！！いや〜しかし、今週末のラグーナでお仕事。なんだかインストラクターの仕事がフルタイムになりつつある感じですね・・・！？！ん〜講師するのはいいけど、早く自分もレーシングカーに乗りたいな〜！！身体がムズムズしてます。

Got up in the morning and got in touch with some people for next season. It's always tough getting the deals done since it feels like you take one step forward and go 3 step backwards...but I guess we just need to keep moving forward in order to make things happen. I can't believe I have to go to Laguna again this week end...it's turning in to a full gig deal for me. Well, it's good to be busy but I much rather be racing my self than teaching the students...

もう１０月・・・。

今日は日曜日だったので、朝はユックリめに起床。といってもバッチリ子供が７時頃から騒ぎ始めるので８時には起きてピットの散歩。日課のスタバに行ってコーヒーをゲットしてから、家に戻って朝食。今日はお昼前にジムに行ってトレーニング。久しぶりにがっつり筋トレをして昼過ぎは日系スーパーに買い物に行って、帰ってきてからは息子と遊んで今は昼寝をしているので自分はPCでお仕事中・・・。

I was hoping to sleep in tonight...but ofcourse...my kid was up at 7am making all the big noise therfore I was up before 8am. We took Pit to walk and stopped by Starbucks which has become our daily routiine for the last 1yr every morning. Went training before lunch and had to go to Gardena to get some Japanese grocery. I just got back and getting some work done...

いや〜しかし、もう１０月って考えると恐ろしい・・・。あと２ヶ月で今年も終わりですからね・・・。来季の話も急ピッチで進めないと！！

I can't believe that were in Oct already starting tomorrow...this year will be over in 2 months. That means I have to get all the talks for next year in quicker pace to get the deals done before the year end!?!
