まったり休日

今日は日曜だったのでお家でユックリ。ずっと息子と遊んで一緒に昼寝までしちゃいました。夕方にジムに行って今日は軽めのトレーニング。なんだか、週末もあっと言う間に終わってしまい、気がついたらもう４月に入っちゃう勢いですね・・・。

Since it was a Sunday,,,I slept in and relaxed through out the day, I managed to spend a lot of time playing with my son and I was able to take a nap with him too!! Went to the gym in the late afternoon and had a light work out. I can't believe we are already going to be in April...that means 1/3 of the year is already over!?! Time just flies doesn't it...

開幕戦

今日は待ちに待ったIndyCarシリーズの開幕戦。一日中楽しみにして、子供の入浴も早目に済まして、夕方５時前にテレビの前でスタンバイ。今回のレースからHD（ハイビジョン放送）だったので、楽しみにてました！！レースの内容は思っていた以上に荒れなかったのでビックリ・・・。しかし、それ以上に驚いたのはIRLとChampCarから来るチームの差・・・。どれだけ、IRLのチーム（オーバルレース）でのレベルが高いのかが証明されたレースで、だからこそスポットで茂木参戦する時の大変さを感じる内容だった気がします・・・・。だからこそ、いかに準備をしっかしてレースに備える重要さを実感しました。

Just got done watching the IRL race.I was looking forward for the broadcast since it was the first HD broadcast for the IRL race. The race was rather uneventful than I though it was going to be. Obviously the team and the drivers new that they were in short of parts and couldn't risk any crash damage... However, the most surprise was the speed difference between the IRL and ex-Champ Car teams. It just shows how competitive the series is and how difficult it is for the one off guys to show up and do well... Therefore, I will have a lot of preparation and homework to do before going to Motegi race.

後輩の英紀は残念ながらリタイヤ・・・。色々と難しい事はあると思いますが、ルーキードライバーとして、覚えて行く事を着実に経験していってるので今後は楽しみになると思います。開幕から期待したい所ですが、英紀は絶対にやってくれると思うので皆で応援しましょう！！って・・・、前に自分が頑張らないと！！今日のレースを見て、改めてIndyCarの難しさを実感しますが、全力で頑張りますので茂木ではいっぱいX100応援して下さいね！！

As for my buddy Hideki...it may have been rather disappointing race. However, I am sure he is going through learning curves that every drive has to go through and he is definitely in good hands at AGR. I'm sure he will be storing by mid season and I wish him the best for this season. But more importantly...I really need to get behind my program to be competitive at Motegi and Indy 500 based on the race from today at Homestead!!

春休み

今日は朝一にジムに行ってガッツリトレーニング。お昼から夕方までは家でお仕事。今週末は世の中が春休みだからどっか連れてってと言う妻のプレッシャーに負け、夕方からディズニーランドに行き、ディズニーパレードを見て帰ってきました。とりえず、息子も喜んでくれたので（むしろ妻の方が喜んでいた！？！）良かったX2!!

I went to the gym first thing in the morning and came home and finished couple of articles that I needed to get done. Since I was feeling the pressure to take my family somewhere during the spring break...I decided to take them to Disneyland for the parade tonight. I figured most people should be in Miami or Daytona Beach during Spring Break...but I totally forgot all the kids are going to be in Disneyland during this time. Obviously it was reallyX2 crowded but still managed to take couple of rides and see the parade. My son definitely seemed to enjoy being there but perhaps my wife seemed to enjoy it more. With Motegi and 500 coming up...I better keep my family happy!!

インタビュー

今日は午前中にラジオと雑誌のインタビュー。久しぶりのインタビューだったので気合いが入っちゃいました。インタビューが終わってからはインディージャパンでパートナーを組むInterush Racingのスタッフと茂木についてのミーティング。スケジュールやイベントの事を話し合い、気がついたらあっと言う間に２時。茂木の事を考えながら同時進行に５００の方もそろそろ感がなくてはいけないので、大変です。

I had a magazine and radio interview in the morning. I was excited about the interview and I think it will turn in to a great article!! After the interview, I had a lunch meeting with the guys from Interush Racing to talk about the plans for Motegi. We definitely need to get everything sorted out so all the fans and guests can have a good time at the Indy Japan race. At the same time, we have to move forward with the talks for the 500 and I hope to have something sorted out pretty soon!!

今日はこのまま、息子をお風呂にいれてご飯を食べてユックリって感じかな？明日はまた朝一からトレーニングで〜す！

I just bathed my son, will have an early dinner tonight to prepare for a good work out tomorrow morning!!

ピットの散歩

今日も午前中にジムでトレーニング。今日は筋トレがメイン。お昼過ぎからは家で仕事をして夕方に子供を連れて家の前にある公園でピットの散歩。息子は最近テクテク歩き回りで、手を繋ぐのも嫌がられます・・・。その上にピットのリーシも持ちたがるので、ピットは何とも不愉快な感じみたいです・・・！？！（笑）しかし、日に日にピットとも遊ぶ様になって、息子が育って行くのをピットを通して感じるときがあります。

This week has been a good week so fat being able to get to the gym when I wanted. I did a lot of weight lifting today and my training schedule is just on time preparing for the race. After the gym, I came home...had lunch and got a lot of work done. In the late afternoon, I went to walk pit with my son to the park in front of my house. My son is walking everywhere now...and he doesn't like to get any assistance like holding hands...which makes it a bit scary if you don't have your eye on him all the time. He actually demands to hold Pit's leash...and Pit is definitely not enjoying the walk being pulled by my son!?! It seems as if it won't be long until my son will be taking Pit for a walk by him self.

チームウェアー

今日は午前中は家でお仕事。色々と連絡を取り合ったり、メールの返信をしていたらあっと言う間にお昼になってしまいました。お昼は家で食べてすぐに、ダウンタウンにある、洋服の問屋街でチームウェアーで使用する洋服をゲット。それに、シルクスクリーンや刺繍をしてもらうのに、業者にもっていきました。かなり格好良くし上がると思うので着るのが楽しみです！！

Woke up early this morning since I managed to get to be at about 10pm last night!?! I had to get a lot of work done in the morning making calls and replying e-mails. I had lunch at home and went to the Fashion District in Downtown LA to pick up some shirts for the team wear...the actual shirts that I will be wearing during the press conference and the race day. The shirt should turn out great and I am looking forward to seeing the actual product after getting embroidery and silkscreen.

スーパーに戻ってきたく。夕方はガッツリトレーニングをしてきました。身体の体調もバッチリ！！レースに向けて着々と準備が進んでます。

I was able to hit the gym in the late afternoon and had a great work out. I am ready to race anytime and too bad I can't be in the car this week end at Homestead...

QX 56 & Sequoiaの試乗

今日は朝一にジムに行ってトレーニング。月曜の朝だった事もあって、ジムはガラガラ！充実したトレーニングができました。ランニングマシンを使って走りながら３日前から家の前で行ってるCM撮影を見ていたら、ようやくChryslerのCMだって事にきがつきました。３日前から封鎖されてる道に止まってる車が全部DODGEとChrlyserだって事に気がついて、これは間違いなくChryslerのCMですね。

Got up early and went to the gym first thing in the morning. The gym was empty and was able to get a good work out done. While I was on the treadmill, I was watching the TV CM filming that has been going on for last three days. I finally realized that it was a Dodge/Chrysler commercial since all the cars that was parked on the side street was either Dodge or Chrysler. I could never figure out what the commercial was all about because the whole setting was a water slide going down the hill on 4th street...with people cheering!?!

トレーニングが終わって家に戻りさっとお昼を食べて午後はInfiniti QX56とTOYOTA　Sequoiaの試乗。QX56はなかなかのできで、個人的には好きです。が、でかいのでトラックを運転している気分。家に戻って仕事をして、今夜も早目の寝る予定です。zzzz

Well, after getting done with my work out, I had a quick lunch at home and needed to do a car road impression test of the new Infiniti QX56 and the Toyota Sequoia. I though the QX was a real nice car but it certainly was huge and it felt like driving a truck!! I just got home and just about ready to hit the bed to get ready for another hard day at the gym! zzzzz

イースターサンデー

今日はイースター・サンデーでアメリカは休日。今日も家の前で撮影をやっていたので、夕方まで家を出歩けませんでした・・・。午前中はジムでガッツリトレーニング。お昼は抜きで夕方から知り合いの家でバーベキューに招待されたので行ってガッツリ食べて帰ってきました！！明日もまた車の試乗＆撮影です。忙しい日々が続きますが、気合いを入れ直して頑張ります！！

Although it was Easter Sunday today...my street was blocked off for commercial filming again and was locked in to the house through out the day. Therefore, I went to the gym in the morning and had a good work out and skipped lunch since I was invited for a Barb-Q party late afternoon. The Southern Style Ribs were just fantastic!! It was a good relaxing Sunday and I am ready to start another week!! I will have a road test for the new Infiniti QX as well as Toyota Sequoia tomorrow.I am looking forward to driving both cars!!

車の試乗＆撮影

今日は早目に起きた物の、ピットの散歩に行こうと思ったら家の目の前でCMの撮影・・・。道が封鎖されてて公園まで行くのが大変でした。１０時に家にピックアップをしてもらい、お昼過ぎまでNissan Muranoの試乗。最近乗ったSUVの中ではダントツに作りが良くてビックリ！！

Got up in the morning and took Pit to the park. Since there was a filming going on in front of my house...it was really hard to just cross the street to get to the park. The downside of living in downtown LA is that the streets gets blocked off almost every week end for some kind of filming... Anyhow, I had to do a photo shoot my self with the new Nissan Murano which I was quite impressed with!! It was one of the best SUV that I have driven in a long time!!

午後はカメラマンのお家でニュースーツ＆ヘルメットの撮影。夕食も一緒に食べてさっきお家に戻った所です。なんだか今日もドタバタな一日・・・。明日はユックリできそうです。

In the afternoon, I went to do a photo shoot with my new suit and helmet. I just got back from having the shoot and dinner and I think I will watch the F1 race...and rest well tomorrow since it is Easter Sunday!!

もう金曜

うわ〜もう金曜だ・・・。あっと言う間に１週間が過ぎてしまい、しかもIndyJapan決勝まで１ヶ月をきっている〜。本当に時間が経つのは早くて怖いです。

I can't believe it's already Friday. Furthermore...I can't believe the Indy Japan race is less than a month away. Time just flies!!

今日は午前中に仕事を方付け、お昼にジムでトレーニング。がっつりトレーニングをしてから妻と子供を連れて遅めのランチ。明日は色々と新しいスーツ＆ヘルメットを使って撮影があるので、今夜は早めに寝る予定です。

In the AM, I went to the gym and was able to have a good work out. I was up early this morning getting a lot of work done so after the gym, I took my wife and son for a late lunch. I will have a photo shoot tomorrow with my new suit and helmet so I better get to sleep early tonight.

スーツが届きました！

昨日IndyJapanで使うスーツが届きました！思った以上に格好良くできていたので、現場で着るのが楽しみです！！自分は去年からイタリア製のAlpinsetars社のスーツを使っています。多くのF1ドライバーも使用していて、クォリティーは抜群！作りがしっかりしていると言うか細かいと言うか本当に良く考えて作ってるスーツだなと思います。個人的に一番驚いている点は、ドライバーが乗った体制に対して一番、心地の良いカットになってるんですよね。２輪のライダーのスーツからきているノウハウだと思われますが、これに関しては本当に感心します。

I just received the suit that I will be wearing at Motegi this year. The design is really cool and I am really looking forward to wearing this at the event. I started to use Alpinestars Suits from last Indy 500 and I must say I am amazed with their product. Not only that the suit is well maid...they have a lot of technology that has been applied from Motorcycle racing suit to further enhance the comfort level while your driving.

逆に撮影とかの時は少し猫勢になったりしちゃうから変な風に見えちゃうんですけどね・・・。（笑）下の写真を見てもらえるとわかりやすいと思いますが、他社のスーツの腕は基本的に真っすぐなのに対して、Alpinestarsのスーツは腕が若干曲がってますよね！？！このカットがドライビングをしている状態をコンフォタブルにしてくれるんですよね！！って相変わらずスーツ＆ヘルメットへの拘りを発揮させてしまいました！！

As you can see from the pict compares the Alpinestars suit to a different manufacyture, the suit is cut to fit perfect while at the position when you are in the cockpit. Therefore, it feels really weird when you are standing up or doing a photo shoot. However, the it is so comfortable while your driving...you can literally fall a sleep in the car!?! Obviously I don't sleep during the race but it is very important to be comfortable while your driving and I spend a lot more time making sure everything is right when I'm in the car.

今日は午前中にジムに行く予定が、色んな事でメチャメチャ忙しくて、お昼も食べれずけっきょくジムに行けたのは夕方でした・・・。しかし、茂木に向けて気合いのいれまくり、ジムではガッツリトレーニングをしてテンション高めておきました！

I was planning to hit the gym in the morning but since there were so many things that I needed to take care...I didn't end up going to the gym until late afternoon. The main thing I wanted to get done today was the ordering and the cost for the merchandise.

基本的に今日中にプランを作りたかったのは、グッヅに関してです。これに関しては自分も拘って、ファンの皆さんが一体になって応援してくれる様に、コストもできるだけさげれるようにアレンジできるように頑張りました！！なので、ぜひぜひロジャーグッヅを備えて応援して下さいね！！やっぱり皆さんの大声援がスタンドから見えると走るのも気合いがはいりますからね！！ん〜レースが楽しみだ！！

My management team and my self has put tons of hours thinking about the product and I wanted to make something real nice that the fans can enjoy but more importantly...have something with in reasonable range of pricing so all of my fans can get a product.I really hope everyone of you will enjoy my goods and more importantly I am really looking forward to seeing you guys at Motegi!!

ミーティング

今日は去年のインディー５００にスポンサーをしてくれた会社とミーティング。今年のプログラムに関して話し合い、茂木＆５００に向けての話し合い。５００の話も具体化しなくてはいけないので、かなりドタバタ状態です。さらに、茂木のグッヅの準備などもあったりでメチャメチャ忙しい日々が続いてます・・・。

I had a meeting in BH today with a sponsor that we had last year. We talked about some possibilities on working together again this year to further enhance our program and I think we were able to talk about good things. Although the Motegi race has been locked in...I really need to get everything sorted out for the 500 as well as the Motegi merchandise program and things has been really hectic the last couple of days. Things should calm down after this week and hopefully I can concentrate more towards racing,

花見

今日も午前中にジムに行ってガッツリトレーニング。お昼前に色々と連絡を取り合っていたらあっと言う間に夕方。週末までに新しいスーツでの撮影を行う予定なのでそのアレンジでドタバタしておりました。

Went to the gym in the morning and was back at work in front of my computer desk until 2pm. I couldn't go anywhere until than because there was a St.Patick's Day walk and my home was in the middle of that route... Luckily, I had to get a lot done at home today so I had no plans to leave the house until the parade was ended.

夕方になって、先週から妻にお願いされていたので、妻の友人とお花見会。息子＆ピットも連れてお花見に行ってきました。家から３０分くらい北上した所にある公園ですが、桜はばっちり咲いてました。来週になったらだいぶ散ってしまってたかもしれないのでベストタイミングでした！日本もそろそろお花見シーズンかな・・・？

Late in the afternoon, I took my wife and my son, as well as Pit to Balboa Park. We had our annual Cherry Blossom picnic with my wife's friend...in which I am obligated to go... My son seemed to enjoy playing at the park as well as Pit and it turned out to be a great day to be outside!!

花粉症

昨日は花粉症にやられました・・・。花粉症は辛いですよね。しかし、体調がわるかったのか、軽く怠くて寒気がして、息子とF１の開幕戦を見ながら途中で辛くなり１０時には寝ちゃいました。

The allergy season is back and I am really not looking forward to this. I have to take Zyrtek,Claritin, Flonase all at once just to make sure that I can breath!?! Really that bad.... Yesterday was one of the worse day for my sinus allergy and I ended up getting to bed at 10pm and couldn't even watch the F1 race until the end...

今日もなんだかダルい・・・。とりあえず、今日は日曜なのでユックリして、気合いを入れ直して明日からはまた猛トレーニングですね！！

The weather is much better today and since it was a Sunday, I spend majority of the day relaxing and playing with my son. I really have to get back to my hard routine training starting tomorrow!!

iPhone　日本語使用

今日はお昼にマーチャンダイズやチームウェアーに関してのミーティング。外出先に自分のiPhoneからのメールを日本語で返信できないのにイライラして我慢ができず、ソフトウェアーアップデートでもなかなか日本語のキーボードが有効にならないので、頭にきて日本語が使える様になるソフトウェアーダウンロードして、iPhoneのOSの設定変更をして日本語可能にしてしまいました！以外と簡単にできて、しかも日本語が使える様になってかなり便利！！今後はPCをほとんど使わなくなりそう・・・。

I had a lunch meeting today in regards to my merchandising material as well as the team wear. I think everything is moving forward but I really need to pick up the pace since I may have to be back in Japan in couple of weeks time for the race. At the meeting, I had an e-mail that I wanted to respond quickly in Japanes...but since the US iPhone doesn't have the Japanese Keyboard...I was really frustrated on not being able to respond in timely manner. I was hoping to have a software update by now to have a Japanese Typing capabilities but I had enough of waiting and went to the website and downloaded a software that will allow me to type in Japanese character using my iPhone. It actually was a lot easier than I thought to install everything and I am probably going to be using my iPhone a lot more than my PC now since I will be able to write in Japanese!!

夜は家でもんじゃ＆焼きそばを食べて、これから車の試乗記事を書かなくてはいけません・・・。締め切りは明日なので気合いを入れて書かないと！！では、これからまたお仕事頑張ります！！

Well, I just got done with dinner but I have an article to write about again by tomorrow so I guess I will have a late night tonight...zzzz

今日もがっつりトレーニング

今日も午前中はジムでトレーニング。久しぶりに窒息する寸前まで追い込んで、辛いけど清々しいトレーニングができました！身体の体調の準備も着々と進んでます。お昼はお家でランチ。

I worked out for good couple of hours today. I was almost out of breath at the end for pushing really hard but it all feels good after all.I think I am just about ready to go racing.

午後は家でずっとお仕事。色々とグッヅやチームウェアーに関してのやり取りがあって、話をしていたらあっと言う間に夕方。夜は子供と一緒に遊んで時間を作ってあげないと。日中は家に居たものの、あまりかまってあげられなかったので・・・。

After the gym, I had lunch at my house and got a lot of work done. We still have to finalize the order for our merchandise line up as well as creating other stuff which really takes time from design stand point as deciding on the quantity to produce and etc... I will have a lot more meetings to do tomorrow so I better get some rest tonight.

車＆スーツのデザイン

今日は午前中にジムでトレーニング。お昼は家で食べて、メールや電話で連絡の取り合い。茂木のグッヅなどの件に関してのやり取りがたくさんあり、やっと一段落着いた所です。しかし、合併の話で１ヶ月以上も茂木の話がペンディング状態になってしまったので、ここへきて色々とアレンジする事がたくさんあって大変です。

そうそう、茂木で走る車のカラーリングとスーツのカラーリングをここで公表しちゃいます！！いや〜いまからIndyJapanのレースが楽しみだな〜〜！！

トレーニング。

今日は早目に起きてお家のジムで猛トレーニング。茂木に向けて気合いも入っていて体調もバッチリです！今週と来週に追い込みをかけて、レースに備えてきっちりと準備をしないと。

I woke up early this morning and spent a good quality time at the gym. I am preparing my self for the Motegi race and I really need to get on it during this week and next week to get my physical shape back to 100%. I feel pretty good after the work out today and I makes it that much more motivating when you know you are going to be in the car.

しかし、息子が日本から戻ってきて気がついたら物凄く成長している事にビックリ！まず、普通に歩いてるのであっちこっちウロウロすること。それから大人のする事を良く観察していて、最近はドアの開け閉めを覚えたのである意味イタズラのレベルがさらにエスカレートして怖い所です。が、その反面いろんなリアクションも面白いので、子供の成長には改めて感心します。しかし、家の掃除をしてもどんどん散らかすのできりがないですね・・・。（笑）

After the gym, I spent good amount of time playing with my son. He has grown so much in last three weeks that it really is impressive. He is walking now and learned how to open and close the door. That means...many more concerns from parent stand point because he could just get to anywhere. However, I am really happy to see him learning a lot of things and it's almost scary to realize how quickly they can observe and absolve a lot of things!!

サイトのメンテ

今日はサイトのメンテをしていたので、一時的に僕のブログのページが見れなくなってしまう瞬間がありましたが、無事に工事も修理しました。色々とサイトの方をアップデートしたりする事ができて、今はとりあえずはマイナーチェンジをしています！？！近い将来サイト自体をフルモデルチェンジをしようと思っています。

Sorry for the inconvenience if you were not able to see my blog page yesterday. I making sure about getting some updates done and it took us a while to maintain the server. Fortunately we were able to fix everything now and it is up and running. I have done a minor changes to my site but I am planning to do a full renovation to my site in the near future!

LAに帰ってきました

さっきようやく家に戻ってきました。今日からアメリカはサマータイム。１時間時間が早くなり、普通だったら７時起きだったのが今朝は６時起き・・・。が、既に何処時間で生活しているのかよくわからない状態だったので、自分はへっちゃらでした！？！今日はフェラーリチャレンジの第２レースが行われ、自分がコーチするドライバーは９位でゴール。色々とぶつけられたりして、車にダメージをおってのトップ１０フィニッシュだったのでボチボチだったのでは。

I just came back from Florida. I had to wake up early this morning because of the time change to Summer Time. Since I had to travel quite a bit last couple of weeks, my brain didn't know which time zone I was in so it was no biggy waking up early this morning. Today was the final day at Homestead coaching my Ferrari Challenge driver. Today's race was OK and my driver finished 9th. He got in to several incident which damaged his car, but to be able to finish top 10 was pretty good considering his damage to his car.

家に帰ってきてほっとするのも束の間。しかし、息子の顔が見れてなんだか一安心。久しぶりにあったので、またパパっこにさせる為に頑張らないと！？！（笑）どことなくママッ子になり、それを勝ち程こった様に妻にアピールされるのはちょっと悔しい今日この頃です。

I am really happy being home now. I hope to spend some good time with my family for at least next two weeks and will have to hit the gym pretty hard everyday getting ready for Motegi!!

フェラーリチェレンジレース１

今日はフェラーリチャレンジ最初のレースが行われました。自分がコーチしたドライバーは１０位からスタートして９位でゴール！ボチボチの成績でした。自分が色々と教え始めた頃からはかなりステップアップしているので本人も喜んでいます。が、個人的には自分が乗っていても自分が教えてるドライバーでも勝って欲しいのでかなりアツクなってしまいます。

Today was the first race of the Ferrari Challenge. My driver started 10th and finished 9th. I must say that he has stepped up quite a bit since I first started to coach him but I sure would love to see on the top of the podium. It is my passion to win races even if it's with a driver who I am coaching and I think I get a bit too excited about trying to make him go faster. Everyone works at different pace and I am sure by end of this year, my driver would be a threat to win races!!

夕飯はエリオやトニーがお薦めのブラジリアン料理を食べて今夜はホテルでユックリ。明日の晩には家に戻れるので楽しみです。早く戻って息子と遊んであげないと！！

Anyhow, I am so ready to go home. I missed my son and family and can't wait to get home tomorrow!! However, I am not looking forward for the time change though....

応援メッセージ有り難う！

さっき仕事を終えてホテルに戻ってきた所です。フロリダはメチャメチャ暖かくて、今日だけでかなり日焼けをしてしまいました・・・。身体がヒリヒリしてちょっと痛めです。

Just got back from work. It was a pretty hot day today and I was able to get sun tanned... And I look like a surfer now!?!

それより、今朝メールをチェックしたら１００通以上もの応援メールが届いていてビックリ！仕事中にニコニコしながら読んでしまいました！！本当に有り難うございます！！皆さんからのメッセージでさらに気合いが入りました！！LAに帰ったら猛トレーニングをしてレースに備えないと！！皆にもあうのが楽しみです！！

When I woke up this morning, I was really happy and surprised to see over 100 fan e-mails congratulating me for the Motegi race!! I downloaded all the e-mails on to my iPhone and I spent better part of my days going through all the kind message!! I am really excited for the race now and I can't wait to race!! I am also looking forward to see all the fans at the track and I'm sure I will have fun racing in front of the crowds!! Well...for tonight, I will need to refocus on to my driver so he can do well tomorrow.

Indy Japan参戦決定！

皆さん、もうご存知だと思いますが、４月１９日にツインリンク茂木で行われるIndyJapan３００に参戦する事が決まりました！！また日本で走れる事がメチャメチャ嬉しいです！！現場にはぜひぜひ応援しにきてくださいね！！！ファンの皆さんにお会いするのもメッチャ楽しみです！！！

I have just signed a deal to drive for Beck Motorsports for the Interush/Wellman Racing entry at the Twin Ring Motegi race on April 19.I have worked really hard to put this deal together and I couldn't be happier especially to be able to race in front of my family, friends, and most importantly front of my fans and sponsors!!

体制はメンテはベックモータースポーツでチーム名はInterush/WellmanRacingです。InterushはNASCAR　Nationwideシリーズに参戦するスタントン・バレット選手もサポートしていて、去年のフォンタナのレースに招待して頂きました！早い時期から、茂木へのプログラムをコミットしてくれたので本当に心から感謝です。逆にシリーズ合併の話で交渉が長引いてしまった事が本当に待ちに待っていてスポンサーそしてファンの皆さんにもご迷惑をかけてしまい申し訳ないと思ってます・・・。その分レースでは頑張りますのでぜひぜひいっぱい応援して下さいね！！

Interush also sponsors Stanton Barret who drives in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. I was invited to watch the race at Fontana last year and I am happy to have them on board as their partner for the Indy Japan race!! I definitely appreciate their commitment and the support and I am glad that the deal is done now and I can just focus on racing!!

しかし、ここへの道のりは長かった〜。円形脱毛症になり、白髪が増え・・・、って状況ですが今はレースに集中できるので何よりです。詳しい詳細はまたユックリブログで書いちゃいますね！！（笑）では、明日もまたここマイアミでフェラーリチェレンジの仕事があるので、今夜は早目に寝ます・・・。とりあえず、今夜はユックリ寝れそうです。

Well...I must say it was a long road to get this deal done. I thought I was close 2months ago...but we were at halt for a while because of the merger and finally got it done after 1 week of the announcement from the merger. I will say that I lost some hair...I gained grey hair... But I am ready to race!! For tonight...since I have to work tomorrow at Homestead, I think I will hit the bed early. I think I will be able to sleep well tonight...

マイアミに到着

さっきマイアミに着きました。こっちは深夜２時。今日はメチャメチャ忙しい一日でした。７時前に起きて、９時に飛行場に行って息子と妻をピックアップ。久しぶりに息子にあったら、なんだか恥ずかしがってて挙げ句の果てに抱っこをしたら泣かれました・・・。ちょっとショックです・・・！？！で、家に戻ったらそのままタクシーに乗って自分は空港に戻りやっとこマイアミに着いたって感じです。明日は朝早くから仕事なのでそろそろ寝ます。

It was a long day for me and I finally arrived at my hotel in Miami. It is already about 2am here. My day started off early and went to pick up my wife and son who just got back from Japan. I haven't seen my son for almost a month and he didn't seem to forget me...but he definitely became a Mommy's boy now. I went home with them to help them unload the bag and jumped in the cab immediately to go back to the airport to catch my flight. I am ready to hit the bed now...

小学校を訪問

今日の朝は家でずっと交渉。本格的に最終段階って感じなのでかなり、ドタバタしております。お昼はミーティングに行き、夕方はトーランスにある小学校を訪問しました。

I had to get a lot of work done this morning since we are getting to the final stages of the negotiations. Things are going really well and I really feel like I was able to make a huge stride in last couple of days. I had a lunch meeting today in Torrance and discussed about all the arrangements that needed to be taken care of.

訪問したのはJoseph Arnold小学校のGATEと言う優等生が集まる放課後のクラスで、Alleycat Gazetteと言う学校新聞の次号の記事としてのインタビューの依頼がきました。さすがに、優等生ばかりなので小学４〜５年生と思えない程に、大人な質問ばかりでビックリしています。が、インタビューとQ&Aセッションが終わり、ではサイン会・・・ってなったら皆は大喜びで子供の素顔がみれて嬉しかったです！！

After the meeting, I went to the Joseph Arnold Elementary school and visited the GATE(Gifted And Talented Education) class for an interview for the next issue of the Alleycat Gazzette which is published by the GATE class students. The students were very intelligent and I am very happy to meet all the kids. At one point I was a bit concerned since all the kids seemed to be too mature for their age, but once I started signing the autograph cards, they seemed to brake loose and definitely seemed like they were all active kids!! I really enjoyed the time there and I appreciate their interest on interviewing me and I hope to have some time to visit them in the near future again. It was also my pleasure to meet the son of Stuart Ross and his wife, who is being deployed to Iraq next week. I am extremely grateful for the sacrifices he and all of the soldiers in Iraq make so we can lead safe everyday lives.

夜に家に戻ってきて、まずは家の掃除。明日の朝に妻と息子がいよいよ日本から戻ってくるので独身生活は今日まで・・・！？！夕飯は恐らく二人は時差ボケで外にでるのが辛いだろうからハヤシライスを作ってます。自分は明日LAの空港に妻と子供を迎えに行って、家に戻りすぐにまた空港に行ってマイアミに向かいます。今週末はフェラーリチェレンジに仕事なのでせっかく息子と会えたと思いきや、一緒にいれるのは日曜日までお預けなので少し寂しいです・・・。でも、息子の為にも仕事は頑張らないと！！

I came home at about 5pm and I had to clean up the house since my wife and my son is coming home tomorrow from Japan. It will be the last night of being single again which I did enjoy for couple of weeks...although I definitely missed seeing my family. However, I will need to pick them up at the airport, drop them off at the house....and will have to leave immediately back to the airport to catch my flight to Miami. I will be working at Homestead for the Ferrari Challenge race week end and will not be able to spend much time with my son really until Monday. To celebrate my last evening by my self...I am cooking some Japanese style Beef Stroganoff..we call it the Hayashi Rice. I figured my wife would be tired from the flight and it would be good to have something to eat when they get home without her having to cook anything.

ハヤシライスも良い感じにできたのでこれから夕食です。今日のハヤシの隠し味は赤ワインとマスカルポーネチーズ・・・！？！美味しいかちょっと心配です・・・？！？（笑）

Here is the Hayashi Rice with a secret ingredient...well not so secret if I'm telling everyone but I added a bit of Red Wine and Mascarpone Cheese to give a mild and bold taste.

もう一息！

今朝は早目に起きて朝は車をディーラーに持っていて、オイル交換。待っている間にパソコンを持っていて仕事をしていました。色々とインディージャパンの参戦に関して話を詰めていたらあっという間に、車はできあがり家に帰宅。お昼過ぎにはカイロプラクティックに行って身体のメンテ。ここ数週間でだいぶ腰の調子も良くなりました！！

I woke up fairly early this morning to take my car to the dealer to get an oil change. While I waited for my car, I brought my computer there so I can get some work done. The negotiations with the team is going really well and my car was done in an hour although it felt like 10min when I had lot to get done. I was able to get a lot of work done in the morning and went to see my Chiropractor after lunch. My back is feeling much better now and I am ready to race anytime!!

午後はジムで走り込み。今日は久しぶりに１０kmのランニングができて気分も爽快！色々と交渉が前向きなので、トレーニングの時も車に乗れる事をイメージすると全く苦痛ではありません！！って、油断してると何がおきるかわかりませんが、必ず近い将来に良いニュースを届ける事ができると思いますので、楽しみに待っていて下さい！！

I went to the gym when I got home for a 10km run. I think I am still at 90% back to where I need to be... But with all the talks moving forward, I better get on to my training program to be 120% ready for the race!! Well, I am really anxious to get this deal wrapped up and I really hope I can deliver a good news in the very near future!! Stay tuned...

ピットが帰宅

今日は日曜日。比較的リラックスのできる一日でした。朝起きてまずは色々とお仕事。来週末はホームステッドに行ってしまうので、その前にしておきたい事が山ほどあったので、朝はミッチリお仕事。お昼はお家でスパゲッティーを作って食べ、午後はNASCARのレースをみながらジムでトレーニング。

Since it was Sunday... I had a slow start to the date and I think I was able to get a good rest in the morning. I still had to get some work done before going to Homestead again from Weds so I got to work before lunch and went to the gym while I watched the NASCAR race from Vegas on the TV monitor.

そして、夜はピットを知り合いの家に預けていたので迎えに行ってきました。夕飯もご地層になってしまいラッキー！ピットも家に戻ってきたピットは甘えまくりで、自分がコンピューターに向かって仕事をしている下でずっとガン見しています・・・！？！

In the evening, I had to go pick up Pit was my friend's house. He seemed to enjoy staying over at my friend's since he is well treated there.... I guess he wants to get some attention and just keeps staring at my from under the computer desk while I try to get some work done....

リラックスしたい・・・。

今日は週末でゆっくりできると思ったのも束の間。先週ホームステッドから戻ってきたばかりなのに、来週末はまたフェラーリチャレンジの仕事で行かなくてはいけません。それに備えて、ドライバーの車載カメラのテープを見て、ライン取りや運転の癖を見極めてノートに書き取り、色々とまとめてレース前に事前にメールをします。自分も基本的にはレースに行く前に、前年度のレースを見て他のチームが何をしていたかや、自分の反省点等もチェックしています。いやはや、もっとユックリできる週末だと思ったので、せめて明日の御前中は家でユックリしているつもりです。

I thought I was able to get a relaxing week end but I was really busy working on couple of things today. I just came back from Homestead but I will be headed out to that direction again on Weds. I will be working for my driver in Ferrari Challenge and I watched his in-car camera tape from last year's race. It is always good to review the tape to understand his driving style and point out things for the driver to make improvements. If you note things down before the race and if you input that in to your brain...chances of driving better would be higher since you are better prepared. Well...anyhow, I guess I will take a day off tomorrow.

ロス疑惑

さっきフロリダから戻ってきました。昨日は遅くまでホテルで仕事をしていて、目覚ましをかけてと思いきや、スィッチをオンにするのを忘れていてまんまと寝坊。出発時間にパッと目が覚めてダッシュで用意して無事に飛行機に乗る事ができました。

Just got back from Florida. I was up until late last night and I thought I have set the alarm but I must have forgotten to turn the switch off. Luckily, I got a phone call at the time of departure so I jumped out of the bed and got ready made my flight!!

家に戻ってきてからも色々と交渉の事についてのフォローアップ。気がついたら週末・・・、週明けには色んな動きが取れる様に準備をしておきました。

The flight was OK and I am back home now working on couple of follow ups from the meeting. I can't believe we are already in to the week end and I better have a lot of thing ready so we can move the whole process forward early next week.

そうそう、最近はテレビをつけると何かとロス疑惑（三浦元社長）のニュースがでてきます。しかし、話によるとアメリカ政府は三浦氏のブログを見て動きをさぐっていたと言う話だからビックリする。しかし、それ以上にビックリするのは、三浦元社長の弁護士の発言！？！どうやら捕まるまではサイパンはアメリカだと思っていなかったらしい！？！とにかく、ブログに色々と書くのは怖いな〜思う今日この頃。って言っても自分は完全にクリーンなので隠す事はないから、毎日ガッツリ書いちゃってますけどね！！（笑）

I was just watching the TV and saw couple of updates on the Cold Case that supposedly LAPD has an additional witness info about an murder case from 27 years ago. The guy was arrested in Saipan last week and he is due to be brought back in LA next week to see if he will be convicted. Anyhow, the funny story to this is that LAPD was able to track him down through his personal blog where he was traveling and it gave them and golden opportunity to arrest the guy when he entered the US soil. Well....guess what...the guy didn't think Saipan was an US soil and he thought it would be a no brainer going in and out of the country. Anyhow, I better watch what I write in my blog from now on... Well not really because I really don't have anything to hide!?!
